This double-album is a musical trilogy incorporating three ancient mantras:

Om Namah Shivaya, the first track weaves Aaron Overstreet’s brilliant guitar work with Joe Fajen’s soulful trombone and Sara Wiseman’s mesmerizing vocals. This song is a reminder to accept inevitable changes in life. The main vocal line, Om Namah Shivaya, translates as I surrender to death. The children’s prayer from the 17th Century was incorporated on a whim.

 

OM Shanti OM, the second track, is a prayer of peace.

 

OM, the finale, is one hour of dreamy, luscious music supporting three 11-minute segments of a subtle chanting of the universal mantra Om. This track incorporates sound healing, energy medicine and organic music so that just hearing it will stabilize your nervous system, release good chemicals in the brain, and melt away tension while also being enjoyable to listen to. Something you can let play while watching the sunset, doing yoga, giving/receiving a massage, or falling asleep.
